Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a distinguished chair in psychology in the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants and was awarded several international and national distinctions. She has collaborated with numerous governments and organizations around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She also serves as a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of America Psychological Association's divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
